In the fall of 2002, Maggie and Branko bought a Corbin 39. Since then they have refitted her for a circumnavigation and have departed for their voyage on Canada Day, 2010

Our last day!
Maggie and Branko
The night before we left....
After nearly eight years of preparation, we are finally ready to go! Departure date: July 1, 2010 leaving with the rising sun; heading east down the St.Lawrence bound for Nova Scotia.
As I was sitting last night in the quarters of H2Obo I was looking around and remembering what it looked like before it did now. The floor being a wee bit too high for branko and what was originally meant to be just a lowering of the floor turned into 8 years of hardwork.
I remember the hull just being an empty hull with coolers and sailing around with it. Not possible to sit in and now it's this gorgeous little home with beautiful detail... and a somewhat chubby but an adorable sailor Kitty named Sophie to fit the rest of the picture.
I remember the nights of sitting at the yacht club enjoying laughs, smoked food after a day of sailing, and endless somewhat drunken nights (when I was of age of course:P) but over all a lot of my summer memories reside in EYC and will forever be there. And I will miss the fact that I won't be there anymore because you won't be.
It was hard to say goodbye last night but I wish you all the best! Bon Voyage!! And I hope to see you in the Bahamas!!
And then Italy... and maybe France... and and... ok the list will go on...:)
Thinking of you today. What a wonderful day for a sail...off into the blue!!!!
Gav says, "May the winds take you fast and far" and remember... "Red sky at night, Sailors delight; Red sky in the morning, Sailors take warning" Shan says, "May the wind always be beneath your wings" Terri says, "Wishing you smooth sailing every leg of your journey" Bill says, "I hope you have fair winds not foul"
Looking forward to following you through the blog.

It was hard to say so long, and we will miss you terribly, but we are looking forward to seeing you soon down on the east coast. Bon Voyage!
Your friends always, Terri & Drew
